Farmers’ Market News

First of all, hopefully you have noticed that we have new helpers with the Farmers’ Market. So, many thanks to Zoe and her team for stepping up and taking on the challenge – it’s really appreciated. If you would like to get involved then do talk to us at the market.

It’s taken 5 years, but we have a small surplus! So far we have bought new tables for the Village Hall, contributed to the Christmas Lights, etc. This time we would like to give a grant, or two, to local groups or individuals from within Constantine Parish.

The maximum is £250 and minimum £50 and any amount in between. To apply we would want to know about your group (or you)? What the money is for? If it’s part of a larger amount, then where you are getting the rest. And we may well want to meet you.

Any local voluntary/community groups can apply. We are thinking that individuals may need it go towards a recognised educational trip – scouts, D of E, etc., a musical instrument, help to buy a piece of disability equipment, sports equipment for the next world champion… or….

So, to apply or if you have any queries, email me at: mandymilano@hotmail.com or write to the Farmers’ Market, c/o Tarn Etive, Parc Monga, Constantine TR11 5AR. The closing date for applications is Friday 19th May and the Farmers’ Market Committee will announce the winner/s by the end of June.

For June, July, August and September this year we will be holding the Farmers’ Market at the Tolmen Centre. Same day – second Saturday of the month. Same time – 9.30am to 12 noon. Just so we can see if there is an increase in business for the stall holders, by picking up more pass- ing trade during the summer months.

We will return home to the Village Hall for October to May 2018.
