Success for Constantine choir at the Cornwall Music Festival

The Trengilly Singers, under their musical director Melanie Uren, were presented with the Bolitho Shield at the Cornwall Music Festival.

The choir won their class for mixed voice choirs of 30 or under, achieving marks of 87 (distinction) after an excellent performance technically and artistically.

The choir then went on to compete for the prestigious Choral Championship Edgar Kessell Gold Award against Heyl St Piran Singers, Mousehole Male Voice Choir and Perranarworthal Community Choir. The adjudicator, Michael Johnson, praised the choirs for their discipline, focus and commitment and awarded the championship to the Trengilly Singers. The choir was accompanied by Colin Ellison.
