Constantine Pre-School

We are situated within the grounds of the local primary school and welcome children between the ages of 2 and 4, potty trained or not. With a stimulating environment both indoors and out, excellent facilities and dedicated staff, we are able to offer a welcoming, safe and friendly setting for enjoyable and sustained early development. Our professionally-trained personnel, all of whom hold early years or play-work qualifications, take great pride in knowing their children well, and meeting each individual child’s needs. Those with special requirements are also well supported. Pre-school sessions are Tuesday to Friday 9am to 12pm and Tuesday to Thursday afternoons 12pm to 3pm. The local toddler group runs on a Monday afternoon from 1pm to 3pm. Constantine & District Twinning Association

Twinned with Pont-Croix, Brittany. Committee Members: Gia Shaw, Penny McGovern, John Richards, Maggie Mackenzie, Henry Sneesby, Antonia Elleman. Formed in 1980, the Association covers the parishes of Constantine and Gweek and is twinned with Pont – Croix in Brittany. Every year, either they visit Constantine or Constantine visits them. A newsletter called “Salut!” is published regularly.

Meets in W.I. Hall, 7.15 pm, 3rd Friday in the month (not December). The History Group has seven winter Cornish history talks and four summer outings to local places of historical interest. Non Members always welcomed to attend both.

Constantine Museum

Tolmen Centre, Fore Street, Constantine. Opened June 2005, this display of Constantine Parish life includes artefacts, photographs, maps and a developing Cornish reference library area. Items of historical interest can be loaned or donated to the museum. Volunteers required to clean and restore artefacts & to man the exhibition. Regular fund raising events.
